Get Back to What You Love

One thing that I have realized and must share with all of you, is that there is a secret to fitness and exercise that a lot of people overlook....

The secret that I am referring to is that exercise doesn't HAVE TO be hard all the time. The way to make exercise not feel so hard and to keep yourself motivated to continue doing it, is to find something you ENJOY doing or at least don't mind doing and do it.

This could be different for everyone... but it's important to be doing something you like. For example, If you hate lifting weights, then why should you be in the gym in the free weight area for 1hr? You are gonna dread going to the gym or doing your regime if you hate what you are about to do. Perhaps you enjoy dancing... ok, no problem, so slap on your upbeat music and "bust-a-move", but make sure you break a sweat and get that heart rate up. Maybe what you like is walking or hiking or swimming or mountain climbing, etc. Whatever the case may be, choose something that you enjoy, so that you can actually stick to it, and do that!

The reason I advise this is because there will always be things to throw you off, or times that you fall off of your regime and if what you were doing is not something you love, then you will surely struggle getting yourself back going.

So think about what you consider a "fun" exercise and start doing it. The funner the workout is, the more likely you are to continue doing it.

P.S. I'll share with you something I did recently to get back on track in the next post.
